Charmo is an AI-powered city atmosphere interpretation application. Users upload city or street images, and the app generates atmosphere tags and short travel-style descriptions based on visual elements detected in the image. This Privacy Notice explains how information is processed, used, stored, and protected when using the Charmo application.
By using Charmo, you acknowledge that certain information may be processed in order to provide the app’s core functionality.
When you use Charmo, the following types of information may be processed:
· Images uploaded for atmosphere analysis
· Generated tags and descriptive text results
· Device information (device model, OS version)
· App usage data and diagnostic logs
· Support messages if you contact us
This information is processed only for operating the application and providing its features.
Images uploaded to Charmo are processed only to analyze visual elements such as scenery, lighting, environment style, and general atmosphere in order to generate descriptive tags and short travel-style text.
Important Face Data Disclosure:
· Charmo does not perform facial recognition
· Charmo does not identify individuals
· Charmo does not collect biometric identifiers
· Charmo does not store facial data
· Charmo does not analyze faces for identity, age, gender, or emotion
· Images are processed as a whole visual scene only
· Images are not used for AI training
· Images are not used for advertising or profiling
· Images are not sold or shared with third parties
Image processing is performed only to generate atmosphere tags and descriptive text for the user.
Temporary image data created during processing is automatically deleted after the analysis is completed.
Information processed by Charmo is used only for the following purposes:
· Generating atmosphere tags and descriptive text
· Operating and maintaining app functionality
· Improving performance and stability
· Fixing technical issues and crashes
· Preventing misuse or abuse of the service
· Responding to user support requests
User content is not used for advertising, not used for user profiling, and not used for data brokerage.
Charmo may use infrastructure services such as cloud hosting, data storage, and analytics tools to maintain app performance and reliability.
These service providers:
· Process data only on our behalf
· Are not allowed to use data for their own purposes
· Are not allowed to use data for advertising or profiling
· Must follow confidentiality and data protection obligations
Charmo does NOT share user images or personal data with third-party AI services for AI processing or AI training.
User content is never sold to third parties.
Charmo follows a data minimization and limited retention approach:
· Uploaded images → deleted after analysis is completed
· Temporary processing data → deleted after processing
· Generated tags and descriptions → stored temporarily so users can view results
· Crash logs → stored for troubleshooting for a limited time
· Support messages → stored only as long as necessary to respond
We do not permanently store uploaded images unless a feature specifically requires user-initiated saving.
By uploading an image and using the analysis feature, you consent to the processing of the image for the purpose of generating atmosphere tags and descriptive text results.
Users may stop using the app at any time if they do not agree with this data processing.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Data is processed in controlled environments with restricted access.
However, no internet-based system can be completely secure.
Depending on server infrastructure, data may be processed in secure servers located outside your country. By using Charmo, you agree that your data may be processed in different countries for the purpose of providing the service.
Charmo is intended for users aged 17 or older. The app is not directed toward children, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or operational practices. Updated versions will be made available in the app with a revised date.
Continued use of the app after updates indicates acceptance of the revised notice.
